Don’t miss the exciting programs that will accompany the Are We Dressed Yet? Exhibit. On opening weekend, bring your own accessories to the Mercer Museum for the 3RD Annual Appraisal Day: "Baubles, Bangles and Bags." Local appraisers will be on hand to give verbal estimates of your jewelry and bags. Download the Baubles, Bangles, and Bags coupon below.
Join the Bucks County Historical Society’s Friends at “Let’s Dress for Tea” in November. Sip tea and enjoy a presentation by Alisa Dupuy on Victorian dress and tea. Adults and teenagers can learn basic jewelry making skills and create their own accessory with artist Karen Goeller. Workshops are in November and February. Also, families should keep a look out for the walk-in “Accessorize It” craft activities throughout the run of the exhibit. See our calendar of events for more details on these programs. |

Animals on the Loose- Children's Exhibit
“Animals on the Loose” invites the museum's youngest visitors (ages 3 to 8) and their families to join Henry Mercer's favorite dog, Rollo, on a hands-on, participatory adventure in search of "escaped" animal artifacts from the museum's collection. Along the way, children encounter curious creatures that include an owl-shaped andiron, a rocking horse, a fish weathervane, pottery chickens, a rabbit chocolate mold, an alligator hand puppet, and many more intriguing artifacts. The exhibit offers families a fun and very different way of experiencing the Mercer Museum and its collections.
